gals who travel is a community for women who want to explore the world together. Our trips are designed for women who love adventure, want to meet incredible like-minded gals and experience unforgettable destinations without having to travel completely alone.
Whether you're travelling for the first time or you've already got a passport full of stamps, you'll be joining a welcoming group of women who are all there for the same reason!! to have the trip of a lifetime. Every gals who travel trip is operated by our trusted travel partner, TruTravels, meaning you get expertly planned itineraries, experienced local guides and the reassurance of travelling with an established tour operator!!!

Can I come on my own?
Absolutely, and we actually encourage it! most of our travellers book completely solo, so you definitely won't be the only one arriving on your own. actually around 90% of our gals join solo!!! It might feel nerve-wracking before you arrive, but within a few hours you'll be exploring with a group of women who were strangers that morning and friends by dinner. Many of our community say booking solo was the best decision they've ever made.
Is gals who travel safe?
Safety is one of the biggest reasons women choose to travel with us. Travelling as part of a group means you never have to navigate a new destination completely alone. Every trip includes experienced local guides who know the destination inside out, can answer your questions, help with logistics and are there to support you throughout your adventure. Before your trip even begins, you'll also join a group chat with the other girls on your trip, so you'll already recognise familiar faces before you arrive.
What ages are your trips for?
The average age across our trips is between 18 and 35!! Our groups are made up of women from different backgrounds, careers and life experiences, but everyone shares one thing in common, a love of travel and meeting new people!!!
Will I make friends?
Without a doubt. One of the biggest reasons our community book a gals who travel trip is to meet like-minded people. By travelling together, sharing unforgettable experiences and stepping outside your comfort zone together, friendships happen naturally. Many of our travellers stay in touch long after the trip has ended, planning reunions, booking more adventures together and even attending each other's weddings.
What happens after I book?
Once you've secured your place, the excitement really begins.
You'll receive:
- Your booking confirmation.
- Access to your online booking account.
- Information about your destination.
- A pre-departure guide.
- A dedicated group chat around one month before departure.
- The group chat is the perfect place to introduce yourself, chat about packing, coordinate flights and start getting to know everyone before you travel.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes!
If your trip is more than 60 days away, you can secure your place with a £200 deposit. From there, our team can help you set up a payment plan so you can spread the cost into manageable instalments.Your remaining balance simply needs to be paid 60 days before your trip begins. You can also make payments online whenever it suits you.
Are flights included?
International flights to and from your destination are not included, giving you the flexibility to choose the airport, airline and travel dates that suit you best. Some itineraries include internal flights once you're on the trip, and these are organised and included where stated on the itinerary.
How much luggage can I bring?
For your international flight, luggage allowances will depend on your chosen airline.If your itinerary includes an internal flight, luggage allowances vary by destination.
For example:
Australia and the Philippines include up to 20kg checked luggage. Vietnam includes up to 23kg checked luggage. If you're unsure, our team is always happy to help before you travel.
Should I bring a backpack or a suitcase?
This is probably one of our most asked questions! The answer? Bring whichever works best for you.
Some gals love travelling with a backpack, while others wouldn't travel without their suitcase.
There's no right or wrong choicejust choose whatever you'll feel most comfortable carrying throughout your trip.
What is the accommodation like?
We carefully choose accommodation that is comfortable, well located and perfect for group travel. Most trips include twin-share rooms with another traveller, or shared female only dorms with girls travelling exclusively on our trip. Accommodation varies by destination, and you'll find full details on each individual trip page before booking.
How do you choose who I share a room with?
We try to make room sharing as easy as possible. Before your trip, you'll have the opportunity to complete a roommate preference form if you'd like. You can request to share with someone of a similar age, someone with similar interests or someone who lives nearby.
If you're happy to leave it to us, we'll pair you with another lovely gal from the group.
How much spending money will I need?
This depends on your destination and your travel style.
As a guide:
Southeast Asia: approximately £20 per day.
Europe: approximately £50 per day. This covers meals not included in your itinerary, drinks, souvenirs and any optional activities you'd like to enjoy.
Will I need cash?
In many destinations, it's still useful to carry some local currency. Your tour guide will let you know the best places to withdraw cash safely and will help if you need assistance. We also recommend travelling with a fee-free travel card, such as Monzo or Revolut, and carrying a backup bank card just in case.
Do I need vaccinations?
Vaccination requirements vary depending on where you're travelling. We recommend checking your government's official travel health advice before your trip and speaking to your healthcare provider if you're unsure.
How do I stay connected while travelling?
We recommend using an eSIM, which is often the easiest and most affordable way to stay connected abroad.
Many of our travellers use Airalo to access mobile data without needing to swap physical SIM cards.
What happens if the weather is bad?
While we can't control the weather, our local teams monitor conditions throughout every trip. If an activity needs to change due to weather, we'll always do our best to arrange a suitable alternative so you can still make the most of your adventure.
Can I join the trip late or leave early?
Sometimes, yes.Some itineraries make this easy, while others move locations early in the trip, making it more difficult. If you're considering joining late or leaving early, get in touch with our team before booking and we'll advise what's possible.
When do you release new trip dates?
We usually release new departures around six months in advance. If your dream destination is sold out or you can't make the current dates, join our mailing list to be the first to hear when new departures are released or ask our sales team to pop you on the waitlist for your chosen departure!!!
