Our gals who travel story starts in 2022 with our founder and solo traveller Brontë King, a trip to bali and a dream of connecting gals around the world. After travelling solo, staying in hostels and meeting other girls travelling, the same convo’s always came up “i wish i could meet other girls to travel with’ ‘i’d love to visit there but i wouldn’t feel safe going solo’ Brontẽ wanted to create a safe space for women to travel together, make lasting friendships and support local communities through travel whilst doing it, to give gals the confidence and experience of travelling to new destinations without the worry and stress of finding friendships or routes by themselves.
What started as 1 group trip announcement, 8,000 followers on our @galswhotravel instagram and 1 gal hoping some gals will book on to join her girls trip to bali has grown into thousands of women trusting us and travelling with us every year.
Partnering with operator TruTravels in 2022, we had a shared ethos and dream of changing the world together. Since then, gals who travel has grown into a global community of gals meeting irl, connecting and seeing the world safely and affordably with local guides in each destination now operating 15 different trips across asia, latin america, europe, oceania and africa!!!
We wanted to create adventures that give you the opportunity and confidence to come alone. Nearly 90% of gals come solo and 100% leave with a new group of friends!!!
Travel is more than just the girls who book on our trips, it’s the women around the world too. Where we can we hire local female guides, visit women cooperatives and support women owned businesses!!!
